Gail Griffin proudly represents Legislative District 19 in the Arizona Legislature. This southeastern Arizona district includes portions of 5 counties: Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, and Santa Cruz.
While in the Legislature, Gail has served in a variety of positions, including Chairman of the Natural Resources, Energy and Water Committee, Vice Chairman of the Rules Committee, and as a member of the Appropriations Committee, the Land, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, the Governor’s Water Augmentation, Innovation and Conservation Council and the Joint Ad Hoc Committee on Legislative Oversight of Emergency Executive Powers.
She has also served on the Water Banking Authority, the Water Protection Fund, and many other committees of interest.
Gail has won awards from pro-taxpayer, pro-business, and pro-family groups for her conservative voting record, and she has been an important vote on issues related to lower taxes, school choice, 2nd Amendment rights, education funding, border security, election integrity, private property rights, veterans issues, and of course water. Even her opponents concede her expertise and involvement with Arizona water issues plays a key role in planning for Arizona’s water future.
Gail’s activities and memberships include Arizona Farm Bureau, Arizona Cattle Growers Association, Natural Resource Conservation Districts (NRCD), Arizona/New Mexico Coalition of Counties, Realtor’s Association (Local, State, and National), Arizona Historical Society, and Sierra Vista Elks Lodge (2065).
